Collectively, we’ve built or helped build hundreds of digital assets. Websites, optimized landing pages, SaaS applications and a diversity of digital tools. A standout partner in all of this work has been our developer resources, which have been resolute and stellar in breaking down complex challenges, researching, implementing and testing solutions and then moving to execution. I have a nearly 15 year partner relationship with a goto developer, essentially my CTO, and he has been indispensable to my business. But over the last few years there has been increasing buzz around the notion of a “no-code” innovation for building web objects. Could that be possible?
Yes. Possible. But there’s a huge distance between automating the creation of a web asset and creating a custom technology solution from scratch. That being said, there is a lot of movement as of late and there are many companies innovating in the no code platform space. Some examples include:
- Webflow – Design, build, and launch websites without writing code.
- Bubble.io – Create web and mobile applications using a visual editor and pre-built templates.
- Appgyver – Visual development platform for building mobile and web apps.
- Retool – Build internal tools and automate workflows without writing any code.
- Adalo – Low-code platform for creating mobile and web applications with a drag-and-drop interface.
These are just a few examples, there are many other companies in this space with different focus areas and target audiences.
AI assist tools for coding are also increasingly prevalent. ChatGPT is doing a great job at assisting developers with code comments that tell them exactly what that line of code is doing and making it intuitive to manipulate the code for different results:
No-code and low-code definitely exists for simple requirements (have you tried Mixo yet?), but complex requirements still necessitate the need for not just a human in the loop, but an expert human dev in the lead.

I have always been an early adopter. Ideas, concepts, technologies and methodologies, learning and testing these is a personal passion. This puts me in the unique position of usually having perspective, POV and experience with this newness before everyone else. I use this to both my and my consulting clients advantage. Let me show you.
