The number of AI tools and platforms being thrown around by everyone is both exciting and insane. In the last week I have evaluated +40 AI tools, and that doesn’t even begin to put a dent in my list of priority tools to explore. An approach I have been taking is to look at a tool and determine if it can be part of a greater workflow, or if it is more of a one-off. I am prioritizing those that appear to be additive to a workflow. I’ve been working on a content generation workflow that I continue to evaluate and update based on new tools. Just that workflow has cut the time it takes me to write longer form content from around 2-3 hours to more like 20-30 minutes. Here’s what that looks like:
- Check topics in Perplexity to see what that tool surfaces in contrast to the draft in step one.
-
Move the rough draft into MagicBlog to begin refining the content with AI assist.
- Check drafts in Writer for AI detection to ensure I’ve humanized the content a sufficient amount.
-
Finalize content in MagicBlog and summarize for teasers in ChatGPT.
- Generate a compelling image for the post using Lexica.
-
Move final draft into Mem with all supporting content and assets.
-
Publish and distribute.
-
At some point we are going to begin podcasting, when ready we will have ChatGPT summarize the content into bullets and generate questions based on the bullets.
-
Then we will have ChatGPT turn bullets into a script and use script to provide an overview of the content at the front end of the podcast.
-
We’ll use questions to provide structure and cohesion to the podcast.
Just this afternoon I discovered ANOTHER content generation tool that I have yet to investigate, but if it delivers on what it is promising it would eliminate four of the tools in that draft content generation work flow.

I have always been an early adopter. Ideas, concepts, technologies and methodologies, learning and testing these is a personal passion. This puts me in the unique position of usually having perspective, POV and experience with this newness before everyone else. I use this to both my and my consulting clients advantage. Let me show you.
