A few provocative artificial intelligence developments, announcements and changes in strategy worth a bit of investigation for you. I’ve posted/re-posted much of this on LinkedIn, so if you follow me there and this is redundant for you, my apologies. Just know that we do this work so you do not have to.
AI products and services are growing at an exponential rate, so much so that it is essentially impossible to keep up, and the demand for AI expertise is growing with it as businesses struggle with how to integrate AI effectively into their organization and replace manual workflows. In many cases businesses are just looking for a smart place to start even thinking about AI implications. On that challenge, we’re here to help and lead the way.
Here we go:
- OpenAI announces ChatGPT subscription, ChatGPT Plus for $20/month which was a matter of time as the runaway embrace of ChatGPT by millions has cost them millions. Will you subscribe?
- Tomorrow.io (I love everything about this platform) is hiring for AI Marketing Specialist, the first AI focused marketing position I’ve seen. That’s visionary. And smart. They’re going to learn this person into marketing AI expertise. Awesome opportunity for someone with the passion.
- Radical Ventures raises $550M AI focused investment fund, I believe the first to do so and man, is this a good bet! I’ve been looking for a solid AI focused index fund and have not found it yet. If you have any AI index fund tips, send them post haste, I want to put my money there.
- AI Workflows, Not One-Offs and the need to think bigger and broader than the next AI tool shiny object. The future is workflows which is why SaaS is now in a bit of a moment.
- Building on that previous bullet. No surprise, the AI consulting space is growing rapidly. Nothing to see here, but first question to ask a potential consultant is: “Protect your IP, but could you show me the most complex AI workflow you have designed and the results you have generated with that workflow?”
- Google pulls back the AI veil just a bit and shows some activity reactive to the success of ChatGPT including more AI tools, APIs and integration of AI into more Google products.
- Google announces event on AI and search for February 8th.
- AI is already pervasive in school curriculums. If you are of a certain age know that there will be a cadre of SMEs coming for you ASAP.
- Favorite AI tool is definitely Easy Peasy, hands down. This tool supplanted four AI tools in my AI content generation workflow. I hate the name, though.
Rock on.

I have always been an early adopter. Ideas, concepts, technologies and methodologies, learning and testing these is a personal passion. This puts me in the unique position of usually having perspective, POV and experience with this newness before everyone else. I use this to both my and my consulting clients advantage. Let me show you.
